Client Profile

Our client is a global leader in medical technology, services and solutions. They are the world's largest standalone medical technology development company who is focused on improving healthcare for more people, in more ways, and in more places than ever before.

Snapshot

Our client's manufacturing facility needed to quickly increase their production to replace CD320 monitors in accordance with new federal regulations. Aerotek implemented an on-premise model to facilitate contractor tours, onboarding and performance evaluations.

Results:

Over the course of six months, Aerotek was able to:

  • Successfully onboard and retain 89 contract employees
  • Enable our client to meet their production goal of 55,000 monitors

Challenge

As the result of new federal regulations, our client needed to replace all of their CD320 monitors that were on the market. To meet these demands, our client needed to triple their headcount within six months.

Solution

To provide our client with the necessary level of support needed for a project of this magnitude, Aerotek immediately implemented an on-premise support model consisting of an On-Premise Account Recruiting Manager (OPARM) with prior experience in the medical device industry. This support structure allowed our client's internal teams to focus on their day-to-day responsibilities, while our OPARM focused on the recruitment, onboarding and on-going support of our contract workforce. During the three days a week our OPARM was on-site, they facilitated contractor tours, onboarding and performance evaluations.

Additionally, Aerotek provided our client with three dedicated recruiters and an account manager who leveraged a client-specific recruiting strategy to quickly provide the volume of contractors needed for the project. In order to drive applications, we posted signs and flyers within the community, held job fairs on-site with our client, solicited candidate referrals from current contract employees, and redeployed former qualified Aerotek contract employees.

Results

Over the course of six months, Aerotek successfully onboarded and retained 89 contract employees. This increase in headcount gave our client the ability to implement and staff a second shift, resulting in the production of 55,000 monitors – successfully meeting the requirements of the new federal regulations. Out of the 89 employees that we placed, 30 continued employment with our client following the completion of the CD320 monitor project. Our client's demonstrated success during this project helped them to secure a partnership with their largest customer to date.
