Onboarding, Recruiting and Performance Management Solutions Assist Major Manufacturer Across Locations
Client Profile
Our customer is an American multinational manufacturing company with over 500 locations worldwide. They are the world’s leading manufacturer of construction equipment and natural gas and diesel engines.Customer Challenge
As of 2023, nearly 90 percent of manufacturers reported having trouble closing the skill gaps in their workforce. Due to this lack of available talent, our customer was struggling to meet demand and delivery expectations at several of their manufacturing locations in rural, sparsely populated areas. Supply-chain challenges exacerbated the situation by complicating production schedules.
Without access to a larger group of skilled candidates, our customer risked losing contracts to their competition and could have been fined for missing critical deliverables.
Aerotek's Solution
Aerotek’s manufacturing support services practice offered a comprehensive solution that allowed our customer to offload recruiting, onboarding, reporting, performance feedback, logistical and management support.
Leveraging our expansive talent network and the recruiting power of our strategic recruiting centers and local field offices across North America, Aerotek was able to rapidly identify, screen, hire and deploy over 500 high-quality machinists, industrial assemblers and welders to support business at several customer locations.
Aerotek collaborated with the customer to determine the specific equipment, projects and shifts requiring support. Furthermore, Aerotek supplied leadership for the workforce by assigning an onsite supervisor to monitor performance and address inquiries from both the workers and the customer.
Aerotek also provided on-site support services that provided our client with a clear plan and SOP to meet demand and delivery goals, and the support required to implement that plan and ensure programs ran more efficiently and effectively. Utilizing the latest technology, Aerotek's on-site leadership team monitored the workforce to ensure quality and output goals were consistently being met.
By establishing a schedule of regular reporting and facilitating routine business reviews, Aerotek provided the customer with a transparent platform to deliver feedback about overall performance. This partnership allowed Aerotek to quickly adapt and created an environment where its workers thrived, generating an increase in monthly sales and resulting in a lower turnover rate than the competition.
