Aerotek Announced as Presenting Sponsor of SkillsUSA’s National Leadership & Skills Conference

The largest gathering of America’s future skilled workforce will draw more than 16,000 to Atlanta from June 24-28

SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference presented by Aerotek
Hanover, Md. (June 6, 2024) — SkillsUSA announced today Aerotek, a leading workplace solutions provider in manufacturing, logistics, construction, aviation, facilities and maintenance, will be the presenting sponsor of the SkillsUSA’s National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC).

The NLSC, including events such as TECHSPO and the SkillsUSA Championships, is the nation’s largest workforce development event for students enrolled in public career and technical education programs. The highly anticipated event, to be held June 24-28 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, brings together thousands of students, instructors, business partners, and administrators to celebrate the accomplishments of those preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.

“At Aerotek, we are passionate about investing in the communities we serve and empowering people to achieve their personal and professional aspirations,” said Tom Kelly, President of Aerotek. “I can’t think of a better way to support the best and brightest students in career and technical education. Our team is excited to support this amazing event and let the future of industrial work in America know they have a partner in Aerotek.”

“The NLSC is an incredible opportunity for SkillsUSA students to showcase their talents and skills on the national level, providing valuable industry experience and an opportunity for our students to learn more about the fields they are pursuing careers in,” said Chelle Travis, Executive Director of SkillsUSA. “We are so grateful for Aerotek’s continued support of our mission and its dedication to both celebrating and empowering the next generation of skilled workers.”

Aerotek’s role as a presenting sponsor of NLSC builds on the company’s partnership with SkillsUSA, which began in 2021. In 2023, SkillsUSA and Aerotek partnered to launch the “Make Your Mark” scholarship program to provide critical financial assistance for those in need to pursue continued skills education. Aerotek awarded more than 200 scholarships in 2023 through the “Make Your Mark” scholarship program.

As the presenting sponsor of NLSC, Aerotek will provide the resources students need to navigate their paths from the classroom to the workforce. At TECHSPO’s Booth #720, Aerotek will provide attendees with opportunities to update their professional headshot and speak with career experts. At Aerotek’s Career Shop at NLSC, attendees will be able to schedule time with Aerotek career experts to work on their resume or participate in mock interviews.
