Aerotek stands in solidarity with the Black community
Like so many of you, we are deeply disturbed by the tragic events taking place across the nation. We are angry and frustrated by the senseless deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, the many others before, and the ongoing racist behaviors that continue across our country. We wonder if we as a company are doing enough. The events taking place across the country have confirmed — we have not done enough. Staying silent does not reflect what we personally stand for nor what our company stands for. Racism and injustice have no place in our workplace, in our communities and in our homes.
Aerotek, EASi and Aston Carter take pride in our inclusive, people-oriented culture and we feel it is important to let our people – our team members, our contractors and our clients, particularly people of color, know that we stand with you and are here to support you. All voices should be heard, and we must strive every day to integrate inclusion and diversity into the fabric of our organization.
Across our organizations, we will begin to strengthen our culture of inclusion, acceptance and equality by equipping our employees with the tools to have more meaningful conversations that lead to deeper understanding and respect for others’ perspectives and experiences. Inclusion and diversity is something that we are strongly committed to, and while we have made progress – we will continue to push to do more.
We must foster an environment of respect and equality in the workplace and continue to build a company that cares and is committed to providing opportunity for all people. We stand side by side, locked in arms with the Black community.
